My two binary opposites are by Katy Perry, and Foster the People. One is called The One That Got Away, and the other is called I Would Do Anything For You. One song means once having someone, where as the other means having someone that you would do anything for!
Katy Perry’s song is all about once having the one that you love but losing them. In her song she explains that "she never thought that she'd be losing you in another life". Katy regrets "not telling him what he means to her, because now she has paid the price". In the beginning she is in love with him as she says" we make out in your mustang to radio head, and on my 18th birthday we got matching tattoos used to steal your parents liquor and cut to the roof". In this song she sings about trying to forgive herself and forget about once having a love that could never be replaced.

Foster the People have a very different approach to their song because they talk about having a possession, or a loved one that they would do anything for. They say “Oo la love, I’ve fallen in love, and it’s better this time than ever before”. Mark Foster sings about falling head over heels for a girl that he would "give it up for you, I’d do anything for you".
I prefer the song by Foster the People called I would do anything for you. I rather the song because it has exciting lyrics that are very happy, and cheerful that fill you with joy! It starts with a slow beat but then climbs to an outgoing fast beat, and ends with a bang! I love these types of songs because they put you in a excited spirit instead of sad songs about losses. I think that Katy wrote a meaningful song with great lyrics but I tend to listen to upbeat songs. I may listen to it on some accessions it just depends how I’m feeling!
